Samsung’s Galaxy A line of devices was easily one of this year’s greatest surprises. While Galaxy A smartphones have existed for years, they used to be more in the “premium” mid-range segment, with other lines such as the Galaxy J filling the budget smartphone market. Now, the Galaxy A line covers all kinds of devices, from cheap budget phones such as the Galaxy A10 all the way up to flagship-specced phones such as the Galaxy A90 5G. Samsung has also started to release smaller revisions to already existing devices in this range, with the Galaxy A20s being the latest.
The Samsung Galaxy A20s serves as a revision to the current Galaxy A20, yet unlike devices such as the Galaxy A70/A70s, this resembles little from the original Galaxy A20. Whereas the original device carried an Exynos 7884 SoC, the A20s has a Snapdragon 450. The Galaxy A20s also has a slightly bigger screen as well as an overall bigger footprint. Most of the key specs stay the same, including a 4,000 mAh battery and a 13MP main camera, but the main difference between both devices is that the Galaxy A20s carries a triple-camera setup, compared to the A20’s dual camera.
It also has up to 4 GB of RAM, up to 64GB of storage, and Android Pie with One UI out of the box. Overall, it seems like a decent enough budget flagship device that should do the job without breaking the bank. The device is now available for purchase for RM 699.00 ($167) in several regions, so if you’re interested in checking it out, then go ahead and get yours.
