We’ve been talking a lot about Android 10 as of late, but the fact is a lot of phones still don’t have Android Pie. Last April, the Black Shark gaming phone was launched with Android Oreo onboard. Thankfully, the Black Shark is getting the Android Pie update now.
Along with the usual plethora of Android Pie goodies, the Black Shark is also getting the August 2019 security patches. Owners of this gaming phone also get a new Screen Recorder tool and FaceUnlock. Other included features in this update are WiFi network sharing through the hotspot functionality, camera focus optimizations, keypad function in the GameDock, and general stability and performance updates.
The Android Pie update begins rolling out to owners this week. It should arrive for all users around the globe in the next couple of weeks. The Black Shark might not be the most powerful gaming phone around anymore, but it’s still a more than capable device.
